The day to show your love to one and all, family and friends. The day to give gifts to loved ones, to show your love and appreciation.
But not everyone enjoy's this day or even celebrates it.
Infact currently in Malaysia, the government is running an anti-valentine's day campaign "Mind the Valentine's Day Trap", a warning to muslims against associating with 'christian elements'

Myself, however, am of the ones who has never had a valentine, come February 14. Some years I had a boyfriend, but they never believed in celebrating this day, which left me to show myself some love with retail therapy.
But then Opel Corsa came out with an ad for their Corsa Lite featuring Raj 1 and Raj 2. These moths introduced Wellingtons Day. The down side to this fun day? I'm in the southern hemisphere, so it's kind of awkward wearing wellingtons during summer.
So thanks to lonely Valentine's Days, I have decided that "Valentine's Day Sucks", instead celebrate "Wellingtons Day".
And because wellingtons come in pairs, here's wishing my wellington Nina an awesome day!

I am from South Africa, and back home, the Raj 1 and Raj 2 adverts are iconic. They never cease to have me in hysterics. I^´ve been trying to find the Wellington´s Day commercial, but can´t seem to. This letter is hysterical. I wish I could work for Opel Corsa, just to make more adverts with these iconic characters.
